About our team.
Shorcom Limited was founded by CEO Anthony Corin, an entrepreneur with a goal to use innovative project management solutions in order to bring high quality residences to the market.
The Shorcom team is divided across three key sectors: Project Management, Acquisitions, and Design.
Our project managers cooperatively work together with consultants, contractors and the client in order to keep the project progressing as scheduled.
Acquisitions seek out desirable land opportunities for development, conducting initial site assessments to determine the profitability of the project.
Our design sector works closely with acquisitions. Following district plan rules, concept designs for potential projects are produced to give an initial vision of the direction of the project.
Our open-plan office invites collaborative work engagement amongst staff. Each project is assigned three project managers - one project lead and two to assist the project. This ensures that there is no critical person risk with staff operations should a staff member take leave, and that the project will always have someone to complete all daily tasks required for the project.

New Zealand is facing a chronic housing shortage. Rather than delivering cheap builds at a fast rate, which will only invite maintenance issues, Shorcom aims to deliver a high quality housing product by use of an innovative construction system; insulated concrete formwork.

There are several issues across the construction industry at present, and we have process engineering principles to follow to minimise these issues - from supply chain disruptions, inadequate staff, project management difficulties, changes to the building code and more.
CONTRACTOR MANAGEMENT
Our contractors are sourced from the local community and are managed under a comprehensive scheduling system by the team of project managers. This ensures that the site operates smoothly, that there are no miscommunications about who should be on site, and that the site remains tidy and prepared for the next stage of contractors scheduled in to complete work. This eliminates conflict between workers and possible hazards that could arise from poor management.
The team follow strict health and safety procedures, to eliminate injury and provide reliable construction. The team working on Shorcom projects are all skilled in Insulated Concrete Formwork (ICF) technique, so that construction is executed safely and to a high standard.

Our long term relationships with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers provides them with a steady stream of business. In turn. This protects our access to critical components from the supply chain of the development process.

Our team is skilled in managing projects that are using insulated concrete formwork as the construction system. Building codes continuously update. To keep ahead of the curve, we build with Insulated Concrete Formwork - which performs above the current standards of New Zealand Building Code.
