Architectural Design

What sets Longevity apart is that we have a focus on efficient design.  Over the last four years we have developed a master design that is efficient from the point of view of building performance (thermal, acoustic, durability, etc.), lifestyle features (space, configuration, outlook, etc.), and our ability to optimise construction (using ICF blocks) for affordability without compromising on quality.

The result is a superior quality, healthy, energy-efficient, soundproof and low maintenance apartment that has exceptional longevity and is affordable to all New Zealanders

Site Selection

Strict site selection ensures projects are located close to transport, shopping, parks, education and employment.  We work with Auckland Council to ensure that the design works well with the site.  Our buildings helps increase the density of our city around transport hubs in support of the Auckland Unitary Plan.

Community and Branding

At this stage, our master design is customised for the specific site.  We orient and situate the building to maximise outlook, parking, access, and landscaping opportunities.  We also add aesthetic elements to give the building character in keeping with the local community and we assign a name at this time.

At this point, pre sales can open.  We work with local agents to market the properties, arrange viewing, and work with buyers to secure a contract.  A deposit is paid at this time and held in a solicitor trust account and the balance is not due until completion.

From breaking ground to handing over keys, the construction process takes six months.

Our specially trained team utilises proprietary processes to both speed up and reduce cost of development.  We apply Lean and Agile principles to construction to eliminate waste.

This is the special moment for owners where they get their keys and walk into their own apartment for the first time.

We assist the handover to owners, get the body corporate set up and managed, and follow up to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Right from the start, and after every build, we workshop ideas to make life easier, more comfortable and more convenient, both inside and out.  Some examples of workshop ideas include;

  • Considering bike space in the common area to promote active lifestyles
  • Designing space division so that you don't enter the apartment through the kitchen
  • Positioning the bathroom so guests don't need to walk past the bedroom to reach it
  • Ensuring that windows and outdoor spaces have views in at least two directions
  • Planning apartments that include accessibility features around access and amenities
  • Creating separate, multi-use spaces such as a media room which doubles as storage

This leads to updates to the master design, so that it continues to be the best design it can be.
